Naomi Langer is founder and principal of Naomi Langer Studio an architecture and design firm established in 2000 which specializes in residential and institutional projects. Naomi and her team developed their design skills at such innovative firms as Gehry Partners, Beyer Blinder and Belle, and SF Jones Architects. Naomi has also taught design studios at Otis College of Art and Design and Woodbury University.
In developing a design, we consider the individual needs and aesthetic preferences of our clients in relation to the urban/suburban context of the building site. Attention to the interplay of natural and artificial light, the relation between indoor and outdoor space, and the use of modern sustainable materials often play a crucial role in our design choices.
The variety of built work encompasses over 250 projects ranging from small residential renovations to multilevel constructions on complicated geographical sites to conversions of large commercial structures from one purpose to another–art deco movie house to large orthodox synagogue. Naomi Langer Studio’s capacity to bring an innovative and aesthetically original approach to such diverse projects is just one indication of its artistic and technical reliability.
